TRAININGS

OnRAMP trainings provide disability awareness and information, promote accommodations and ADA compliance, and fulfill professional development requirements.

Our interactive trainings are available for businesses, community organizations, school districts, centers for independent living, court systems and more. These 90 minute to 2 ½ hour trainings can be facilitated in-person (within our 4 county service area), virtually, or anywhere in the U.S. (for additional cost) to meet your needs.

Training for Schools, Businesses & Organizations

OnRAMP offers one to three day on-site trainings to schools, district-level leadership, businesses and other community organizations to provide disability related trainings to staff, volunteers and leadership.

Trainings Available

Disability Awareness (customized by entity/industry): General information, etiquette, accommodations/ADA compliance, and language usage surrounding disability. Can be tailored by entity; currently customized for law enforcement/first responders, judicial system & court personnel, childcare and youth workers, and election workers

Disability Awareness: ADA Compliant Work Environment: Implementing a disability-accommodating work environment, including ADA compliance, communication, job design, and culture

Ableism Awareness: Defining, identifying, understanding, and eradicating discrimination against disability, known as ableism

Accessible Social Media: Creating social media materials that are available to all, including closed captions, image descriptions, alt text, and more

Independent Living Philosophy: Overview & history, differences from the medical model, and strategies in action

Intersection of Race & Disability: Healthcare/Education/Employment/Criminal Justice/Mental Health—five unique trainings that examine history, current events, and strategies to move forward and form connections between communities

Leading Multiple Generations: Examining multiple generations’ characteristics, strengths, views on disability, and how to work together effectively

Poverty Response: Discussing poverty through the lenses of scarcity, trauma, general roots, and disability

Service Animal Awareness: Definition, general rules, and frequently asked questions surrounding service animals

Talking to Children About Disability: Strategies for engaging with children, their siblings, and peers surrounding disability and its implications

Understanding Microaggressions: definitions, types, classifications, and effects as well as how to eliminate discrimination as individuals in general and organizations as a whole


Pricing for Trainings

  • $500 for non-profits (plus travel if necessary)
  • $750 for businesses/for-profit (plus travel if necessary)
  • Trainings over 2 1/2 hours will be an additional $50/hour
  • Discounts are only available for trainings that are booked in sets of 4 – book 4, and get one (1) 50%
  • Discount details: All trainings must be booked within 1 year of the initial training, a proposal will be created and signed and payment must be made in full for discounted training
  • Trainings without discounts will receive a proposal to be signed, but payment will be rendered after training is completed
