OnRAMP trainings provide awareness and information, promotes accessibility and belonging, and fulfills professional development training for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Our interactive trainings are available for businesses, community organizations, school districts, centers for independent living, court systems and more. These 90 minute to 2 ½ hour trainings can be facilitated in-person (within our 4 county service area), virtually, or anywhere in the U.S. (for additional cost) to meet your needs.

Training for Schools, Businesses & Organizations

OnRAMP offers one to three day on-site trainings to schools, district-level leadership, businesses and other community organizations to provide disability related trainings to staff, volunteers and leadership.

on Disability Awareness Training

Trainings Available

  • Ableism Awareness
    • Ableism Awareness Training is a curriculum designed to train and inform businesses, organizations, and community members about discrimination against disability, known as ableism. This training actively engages participants in a detailed overview, including: defining, identifying, understanding, and eradicating ableism.
  • Disability Awareness
    • Disability Awareness Training is a curriculum designed to train and inform businesses, organizations, and community members about disability. This training actively engages participants in a detailed overview, including: information regarding disabilities, the ADA, and societal issues; etiquette to use while interacting with disabled people; accessibility, problems surrounding it, and proactive ways to provide it; and language usage surrounding disability.
  • Inclusive Work Environment for Employees with Disabilities
    • Inclusive Work Environment for Disabled Employees Training is a curriculum designed to train and inform businesses, organizations, and community members about providing disabled employees with reasonable accommodations. This training actively engages participants in a detailed overview, including: who are disabled people/what constitutes disability; what accommodations for disabilities are; why accommodations should be provided; and how accommodations can be implemented.
  • Independent Living Philosophy
    • Historical treatment of and events, awareness and etiquette, and advocacy regarding disabled persons and independent living
  • Microaggressions in the Workplace
    • Understanding Microaggressions Training is a curriculum designed to train and inform businesses, organizations, and community members about microaggressions. This training actively engages participants in a detailed overview, including: defining microaggressions, understanding the effects of microaggressions, strategizing responses to microaggressions, and eliminating microaggressions.
  • Poverty Response

    • Poverty Response Training is a curriculum designed to train and inform Centers for Independent Living, businesses, organizations, and community members essentials about poverty. This training actively engages participants in a variety of relevant topics, including: scarcity mindset, trauma of poverty, systemic roots of poverty, and long-lasting effects of poverty on children and adults.
  • Service Animal Awareness
    • Service Animal Training is a curriculum designed to train and inform businesses, organizations, and community members about service animals and their inclusion in society. This training actively engages participants in a detailed overview, including: definition of service animals, general rules, certification & registration, breeds, and service animal exclusion.
  • Disability Awareness for the Judicial System
    • Disability Awareness for the Judicial System Training is a curriculum designed to train and inform judges and court personnel regarding disability awareness vis-à-vis the courtroom. This training actively engages participants in a detailed overview, including: general accommodations; considerations for Deaf persons; considerations for developmentally disabled/Intellectually disabled persons; and considerations for Autistic Persons.

Pricing for Trainings

  • $500 for non-profits (plus travel if necessary)
  • $750 for businesses/for-profit (plus travel if necessary)
  • Trainings over 2 1/2 hours will be an additional $50/hour
  • Discounts are only available for trainings that are booked in sets of 4 – book 4, and get one (1) 50%
  • Discount details: All trainings must be booked within 1 year of the initial training, a proposal will be created and signed and payment must be made in full for discounted training
  • Trainings without discounts will receive a proposal to be signed, but payment will be rendered after training is completed
